Kathisma Beach is located 16km from the city of Lefkada and 1km from the quaint and traditional village of Ag. Nikitas.

It is a beautiful white beach with fine sand, 1,500 m. long and 60 m. wide at the foot of a hill 1,300 m. high.

Very close to the rocks, where the sand ends, a wooden bar was built by the architect Giorgos Kavvadas, where you can enjoy soft drinks, iced coffees, fabulous cocktails, snacks, sandwiches and variety of alcohol : Copla

This is a small but nice restaurant located in Karia’s main square.

The food is authentic, the staff friendly and the food is good for the price.

Fresh vegetables and salads all prepared at the time of order to your liking. Meat on the griddle or in an oven the choice is yours.

The hunt for perfect fish food leads us to a very nice family taverna open since 1982.

Based in Athene, the head of the family has worked for more than 15 years cooking on boats when he decided to take the land of his father and to open a restaurant in Sivota
Today, the restaurant is run by the whole family who provide daily fresh fish and maybe the best lobsters any of us has tried on the island.

If you are fan of Greek food, don’t hesitate to order the homemade Mousaka.
The restaurnat has a lovely, friendly attitude, pleasant and helpful staff, a beautiful view of Sivota’s port and delicious food.

Stelios Restaurant

Directly situated on the docks of Vassiliki, Stelios restaurant offers a large selection of traditional dishes, superbly prepared and attractively served.

The special feature of this restaurant is that all food is only available in appetizer size, allowing you to choose a range of unknown and interesting dishes, from lamb to chicken and seafood dishes, along with pies, numerous variations of vegetables and fish specialties.

For the counterweight of a main dish you have about 5-7 appetizers, the prices start at about € 3,00.

If you are spoiled for choice you can try a surprise plate at a price of € 30, 00 for 2 people, which includes 10 appetizers and salads to order.

Apothiki – Old Store

The “Old Store” building was erected in 1730 and up until 2001 was used as a place of storage for the entire village of Sivota for items such as olives, wheat, wine and oil.

Since its conversion into a restaurant by the sons of Spiridoula, it has played host to both the locals and celebrities of island who frequently visit to enjoy the delicious food and vibrant greek atmosphere.

Since 2001 word has spread fast across the island of Lefkada bringing together friends and family of not only the locals but of Peter and George who hold the pillars of this successful venture.

The Katoghi

The Greek translation of Katoghi is a romantic term, meaning “to the ground”. This traditional building is one of the oldest and atmospheric in the village of Vafkeri with tremendous views over inland Lefkada.
Your hosts are Peter & Alison, originally from sunny Suffolk, England, who in 2008 stumbled across the island of Lefkada and fell in love with everything Greek and Lefkadian.

Alison is your chef, who has catered for the directors of Tattersalls, Newmarket, the foremost bloodstock auctioneers in the northern hemisphere, and has worked at Bury St Edmunds Golf Club and two Suffolk countryside inns over the last twenty years. With this experience Alison can cater for all occasions.
Peter will meet and greet you and generally look after all your needs during your visit to The Katoghi. He has worked in the business for 25 years having learnt his trade managing public houses before moving onto managing the prodigious Veralum Golf Club in Hertfordshire, home of the Ryder Cup, then stepping up to restaurant management at the 4 star Swynford Paddocks Hotel in Newmarket, Suffolk.
